NUR 338 - The Wellness Continuum for Children and Families Credit(s): 3
Students will demonstrate clinical judgment founded on a broad knowledge base that includes the physiological, psychosocial, and developmental stages of families through the wellness continuum and lifespan. The student will employ a participatory approach to establish caring relationships and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members to maintain a climate of mutual learning, respect, and shared values. There is a strong emphasis on quality, safety, knowledge of healthcare systems, informatics and healthcare technologies utilized in the care of vulnerable populations. Students will demonstrate the integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion as core to one’s professional identity.
