BIO 211 - Anatomy & Physiology I Credit(s): 4
This course is a comprehensive study of the structure and function of the human body. Emphasis is placed on the chemical, anatomical, and physiological principles of cells and tissues of the human body as well as the integumentary, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. Discussions will include how the interactions among the integumentary, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems contribute to human health and well-being. Laboratory sessions are coordinated with the lectures and emphasize experimentation and application of the lecture content. Experiments are supplemented by microscopic analysis of selected slides, specimen dissection, chemical experimentation, and review of anatomical models.
