PBH 271 - Issues of Diversity and Equity in Public Health

This course will review the social determinants of health and their influence on diverse populations and health equity. Students will explore and discuss theory, evidence, and policy implications of development. Modifiable risk factors will be avulated at the intersections of various cultural characteristics. This course emphasizes socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and gender status as an influence on health disparities and health inequities.
