In this three semester, 24-credit Robotics and Automation Technician certificate program, students will be introduced to robotics and automation concepts used in manufacturing, supply chain, and retail operations. Students will learn the basic concepts for maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming automated systems that include hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and how they work to create an automated or robotic system. Understanding motor controls and programmable controls (PLC) as they relate to the automated process is essential. Participants are introduced to computer-aided design (CAD), industrial robots, and programming for robotic and automated systems.
Students must complete all the graduation requirements as stated in the catalog and maintain a GPA of 2.3 or higher in the coursework.
