PSY 201 - Group Dynamics Credit(s): 3
This course provides an overview of current developments, research and theoretical bases of group behavior: stages of group development; structure, power and leadership roles and styles; group tasks, group maintenance; pressures for conformity and deviance; impact of individual member behavior on group dynamics; roles, intra-group conflict, group problem solving and decision making. Through interpersonal and small group interactions students will gain insight into themselves, their impact on others and examine expectations and assumptions about groups.
