MPH 560 - Applied Practice Experience Credit(s): 3
In this intensive fifteen-week course, students will demonstrate at least five CEPH competencies by integrating knowledge from core MPH coursework and concentration courses to develop a final capstone project and fieldwork experience. The Applied Practical Experience (APE) can be fulfilled through internships, field experience in workplace settings, or project creation under faculty supervision. The APE requires formal agreements before placement. The capstone project is a scholarly paper that is written with supportive research where students can select either a program evaluation, research proposal, policy statement, or program assessment.
Prerequisite(s): MPH 505 and must complete 30 credit hours of coursework before starting the course.
