HUM 100 - Introduction to the Humanities

The human condition is marked by shared universal experiences including birth, growth, emotion, aspiration, conflict, and mortality. Over the millennia, humans have cultivated the humanities in various modes to characterize and communicate their experiences with others. In this course you will investigate what it means to be human and how our shared experiences have impacted our contributions to the arts, history, and culture. Course readings and materials will emphasize different artistic modalities and diverse cultures and civilizations.
