HSR 335 - Social Policy in America Credit(s): 3
In this course, students examine the historical context for ideological philosophies centered around social policy in America and the viewpoints that currently dominate society. Emphasis is placed on analyzing federal, state, and local social policies that affect agencies, organizations, and individuals at all levels of society. Students assess the design and management of social service supports and programs (e.g., health, education, housing, safety, social justice) within a constantly changing political and social environment.
