MSN 680 - FNP III Advanced Practice Through the Lifespan-Primary Care of The Pediatric and Women’s Health Client

This course is the final didactic and clinical course in a series of three primary care courses for the Family Nurse Practitioner student. This course builds upon knowledge and skills learned in NUR 660 and NUR 670.as students care for patients from preconception to postnatal periods and provide routine gynecologic care. FNP students will assess, diagnose, treat, evaluate and make appropriate client referrals. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practice, health promotion and wellness care, disease prevention and treatment for the neonate to adolescent and women’s populations especially. Students will complete of precepted clinical practicum working in approved settings with a focus on compassionate, family centered and holistic care. Students will demonstrate integration of nursing scholarship, leadership and readiness for advanced clinical practice.
