RN-to-BSN Program, B.S.

RN-to-BSN nursing education prepares nurses to practice in a variety of settings by providing them with knowledge and skills that are generalizable and transferable. Additionally, RN-to-BSN nursing education provides opportunities for the development and clarification of values, the development of assessment, evaluative, teaching and communication skills, the development and refining of technical skills that are required for delivery of quality nursing care and the development of problem-solving and critical- thinking skills.

BSN prepared nurses function as active and knowledgeable participants in the health care delivery system as well as global citizens with an understanding of information technologies that link parts of the world.  Students learn about the organization and finance of health systems and how to participate in and influence political and other processes that affect health care delivery using evidenced based practice methods.
