The Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPS) is a flexible, career-focused, degree-completion program designed to foster both career advancement and new opportunities.

This program enables students to enhance their professional capabilities through the development of critical thinking, communication, research, and interpersonal skills.

Due to its customizable curriculum, students should work closely with their academic advisor to ensure all curriculum requirements are met.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be able to:

  1. Express ideas through various modes of communication.
  2. Apply information literacy skills to further professional and personal growth.
  3. Apply critical thinking to solve professional and personal problems.
  4. Analyze global, social, political, and economic trends through the lens of Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Social Justice.
  5. Describe how identity, values, and diversity shape human experience.
  6. Propose evidence-based solutions to problems of professional practice.
  7. Evaluate ethical implications of professional and personal behavior.
  8. Synthesize various forms of data to cultivate professional and personal growth.

Graduation Requirements

Students must complete all general graduation requirements as stated in the catalog. Students must complete the Professional Studies Capstone (PRO 495 ).
