NUR 353 - Introduction to Nursing Research

This course provides the student with the opportunity to learn about the research process and its relevance to nursing scholarship and evidence-based practice. Students will be able to differentiate between qualitative and quantitative research methods while advancing clinical judgement skills. Emphasis will be on developing the student’s ability to apply nursing conceptual frameworks, incorporate clinical research findings, and engage in evidence-based practice. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to actively engage with nursing research as informed consumers.

Prerequisite(s): Stat 167 and NUR 303
